Re: 80 LF problems

new jets sound like the root of your problem, if you did change the needle and seat i am betting you are not getting a seal at the needle and seat thus causing raw fuel to flood the engine.

Did you ever try running it off a gas can instead of the fuel tank ? Stick hose in gas can and hook other end to the fuel pump. Are the choke plungers set correctly and sealing off ? How did you set these plungers and how did you test them ? What jets in each carb ? CDI changed ? What spark plugs yo...

Re: Interest in JDM-81 Clutch Align Tool build?

Hmmm....well, looks like a good tool for a trailfire or sportfire. I just read the manual and it states to use a 3/8 square stock to use to adjust secondary alignment like I use when shimming. Nothing I can find states using the JDM-81 on a liquifire unless my manual is missing updated info ??

Re: Interest in JDM-81 Clutch Align Tool build?

I am scratching my head on this, how do you make a tool like this work for your benefit ? The engine mounts are not slotted on a1980 + liquifire, where do you adjust ? I guess after building several of these machines I am still learning ? I can see using the 3/8 square stock for setting the secondar...

Re: Driveshaft Bearings

I have a local bearing distributor here in Princeton, Illinois. Called BDI or Bearing Distribution Inc. I have taken every bearing on every sled to them and had the exact same thing sold back to me (meaning style) made by NACHI, costly but I have had no problems. They even asked for the application ...
