Re: 2024 Ride with the Champs recap.

Thanks Brian. The after action report still works just fine without snow. Not only that, you had time for some unhurried wrenching on a John Deere snowmobile while rocking the IH headgear. I might have been known to do the exact same thing a time or two but that cannot be confirmed since there's not...

Re: 1975 JD300

Beautiful.

If you're ever on Vintage Sleds, you might consider tendering that machine in the Find of the Year contest .

If crank seals aren't known to be fresh they're very likely in need of replacement. Don't dance with that devil. Staring fluid regimen is only as useful as pounding on a half empty fuel tank to determine the fuel level.

I've seen perhaps two in the wild. The rest are always fours and eights.

Re: Impromptu nostalgia race

I have some handwritten notes from a racer back in the day. I can dig them out and peruse and see what's there. The notes are a couple notebook pages long and pretty much deal with all manner of tips and modifications that include engine work.

I know. I was just messing around with the whole concept of your sled parked next to the prototype. Some day I'll actually get there to see that in the flesh.

Re: Liquidator Refresh

Different jets and or needle setting identification? Kawasaki Liquifire carbs are slightly different to accommodate the water transfer physics of the engine.
