Re: Fire series rubber ski blocks

Hi have these blocks ever been re-produced (M66280)? Horicon Joe, if your willing to share the print, I can look into getting them made. I am rebuilding my front end on my 1981 Sportfire. I made tooling to re-arch the leaf springs and got them back into shape, worked out perfectly, now getting the s...

Re: Head light - 1981 Sportfire

Does anyone know if I can check the voltage regulator on the bench? I pulled the one off the parts Trailfire and it measure 136 ohms from the yellow wire to the black. The one on the Sportfire (suspected culprit) measures 146 ohms. I have not yet tried measuring voltage with the motor running, weeke...

Re: Head light - 1981 Sportfire

thanks guys, I will check the wire for shorts, and put a meter on the headlight wire and see how much voltage I have at around 6000 rpm. I have a 79 Trailfire parts sled so if its the regulator I can see if its still with the parts sled and swap it in.

Head light - 1981 Sportfire

Hi, when I bought my 81 this summer, the headlight wasn't working but the other lights worked. I bought a new head light (Philips H5006C1 Halogen Sealed Beam) and plugged it in and it worked. I just had my first ride a couple weeks ago and after a couple miles I noticed the low beam was not working,...

Re: I got lucky today - new belly pan sides

Just so you know they are different, but may fit. They are different, looks like the area around the spindles pushes out further on my 81 Sportfire than does on this. Also looks like when the skies are turned to the extreme, there is plenty of room. I will have to test it when the time comes. The o...

I got lucky today - new belly pan sides

I bought these today, belly pan sides that have never been installed, I think for a 79 Trailfire judging by the colour. I was thinking they would go on my 81 Sportfire when I start the restoration. I bought a pair of ZRT Fox shocks that were advertised as just rebuilt, I wasn't sure if they were or ...
