Re: Kohler Spitfire Recoil Pulley

Is there a source for the recoil springs? All the local distributors and wreckers tell me they are obsolete. I need one for my spitfire and for a kohler 340-2as (same).

For Dad

Very Nice sled. I found one a few years ago that is just as nice. A 72 399 with elec start, speedo and slide susp. Yours looks clean with no cracks in the hood which is good and the louvered plastic looks good too! I don't think that the windshields are supposed to have trim on them.

Vintage snowmobile swap meet

My opinion in this Pete is to make sure it does not conflict with seeding, harvest or spraying if you can help it. As I am sure you know, most guys around us with vintage iron are farmers. If they are not in the field I would say that you will have a better turn out. Just my thoughts. Good post too ...

Race story

Brian, do you happen to remember the number of that sled? I ask only because the one of the two dators that my dad and I have was raced in the Regina-Minot. A local deere dealer from the Regina area here. We have not asked him about his racing yet, bought the sleds from him and have not spoken to hi...

Nice to see another deere nut close to home. I am in melfort and have a yard full of deere's. I was in nipawin last weekend and was going to earl grey this weekend but something else came up. I have a friend who would have been racing a yamaha and a restored 78 TX at both shows. The yamaha is not p...

Saturday's event had 156 sleds show up and close to 250 races run. Sunday was a race in a different town which had 135 sleds and just over 200 races run. Excellent events and thanks the Earl Grey Snow Leopards and Govan Ski Wizards for two great events as always! We had lots of guys checking out the...

Well the dator made it through the weekend. Not quite finished as we did not have all the lights working or the seat recovered yet but it ran awesome! Our good old reliable spitfire came home with two trophies again this year. Can't quite beat this one enticer 340 but we run consistently in second p...

sorry about the pics guys. I re-arranged all my pics so it was easier to find them, which resulted in the links not working anymore. Probably gonna get the dator out this sunday and will post some video of it. I will have it out and also our 74 wild one. Forecast calls for near melting conditions th...
