Trailfire/Sportfire Oil Pump differences

From the Trailfire service manual:

"6. Start and run engine at 3000 rpm.

7. Hold the pump lever in the rear WIDE OPEN POSITION
(A). Measure the output of each port in a calibrated glass
tube. Correct output from each port to the intake manifold
fittings should be 1.50 to 1.83 cc per minute. Replace pump if
output is below these specifications."


From the Sportfire service manual:

"5. Start and run engine at 3000 rpm.

6. Hold pump lever in the WIDE OPEN POSITION. The
output from each port should be 2.25 to 2.75 cc per minute.
Replace pump if output is below these specifications."

As can be seen here, there is quite a big difference in output. Hope this is helpful.
