spitfire kawasaki piston

Post by IH power »

need experts advice on tb340A piston/rings. I picked up some nos 13001-3014 pistons and also saw 13001-3008 numbers for 340 application as well. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two? also, does anyone know the ring part number that would correspond with the 3014 pistons? thank you all.

They updated the ring design. I can't remember which is which, but one is a keystone style and the other is square with a notch for the pin. Some say you can use them interchangeably on the pistons, but a check of the parts book gives different part numbers for the pistons as well. The change/cut off is serial's beginning at 120,000 - which is the 1980 model year.

If you had Deere part numbers on the piston boxes, we could tell you which ones you have. I can try to remember to check what parts I have and post back.
