2024 is the 40th anniversary of the Ride with the Champs. Jamie tells me they have some special things in mind to commemorate the date.
The JD crew is seriously thinking about bringing back the Vintage Challenge Ride up to Fishtales Resort in Michigan's UP in honor of the anniversary.
The date is Feb 17, with many of us arriving earlier in the week.

The Vintage Challenge sounds like a good time. Is it open to anybody to just show up and go or do you have to sign up ahead of time?

It's been awhile since I have went but in the past you needed to go online and purchase the event ticket which gets you into the HOF event. They would serve breakfast and there you would sign up for the specific ride you wanted to take. Normally they have a lunch stop and then everyone meets back up in the evening for dinner and the HOF induction.

There two ways of doing this. Yes, you can go to the SHOF site and sign up in advance.
Most of us regulars just call Jamie at the SHOF and tell her you plan to attend.
The last couple of years they are back to selling out of banquet tickets, but you do not have to do it. I believe they have a couple of ticket options.
And yes, everyone is welcome.

Well, at 10 days out from the Ride with the Champs, the weather report is looking kind of grim.
There has never been enough snow in the northwoods to open the trails this winter to date, and the forecast at the moment isn't calling for much more than a dusting by February 17th.
A number of us are going anyway. My wife and I really need a vacation, January was a tough month for us.
There are some activities in the works, stay tuned...
