Just got an oil tank, fitted it to my machine and re-connected the oil injection system.

To confirm, the top pump outlet closest to the engine is for the left cylinder jug, the top outlet closest to the fuel tank is for the crankcase centre bearing/seal and the lower right hand outlet goes to the right cylinder.

I've bled the pump and put in a tank of 50:1 to give time for any air bubbles to clear. I'll run her for a bit and then do a flow check with the pump flow at max.

Does this all sound OK?

Looking at the pump facing the rear of the engine;
The large end port -hose from tank
The back upper port-left cylinder
The lower side port-right cylinder, tucked in behind the center coolant line
The front upper port-center crankshaft

OK, does 'back' mean rear (on the machine) or furthest away when looking from the rear (closest to engine case)?

The "back of the pump" is referring to the end of the pump towards the airbox.
Check this out. Top of pump has two ports. the front port - center crankshaft. The upper back port-left cylinder.
The side port- right cylinder.

I know this thread is old but I need some help getting my oil pump connected again. You say there is three outlets from the pump? I can only find two on mine and the 1/4" inlet. And where do they go into the crankcase and cylinder? I can find any nipples like what I see on the injection pump anywhere else on the engine. Maybe i'm just blind as a bat :bonk: Sorry for my ignorance, my first liquifire. Vintagesnow.com has a manual I have been looking at but I still cant see any ports for the oil lines. And where does the cable that I see run to the pump in pictures go to? It says it has to move at the same time as the carbs are opened up so I would think it is connected to the throttle cable somehow? Pictures would probably help me the most.
Thanks Guys

I think the brass Banjo fittings can be purchased from Polaris (#3083894). I've not had the need to purchase any so I've not verified this part number.

Exactly what I needed thanks. Now my only question is the cable to the pump. I don't see anywhere where it could hook up to the throttle cables.

A "correct" throttle cable for a LF with injection will come with the oil pump cable or a total of 3 cables in one. Should be available from from www.newbreedparts.com
DA
Feel free to check out our website www.buscobullet.com for restorations or parts.

I looked up the part and it comes up as a check valve, Are those banjo bolts a check valve as well?

At the moment I don't carry a throttle cable for the Liquifire. They have not been available for at least a year.

It is my understanding that Polaris part number is just the brass banjo fitting. The bolt (or nozzle) and aluminum washers are not included. As I mentioned earlier I haven't purchased these to compare them, so I could be wrong. But to answer your question. Yes there is a check valve inside the brass banjo fitting.

Another caution about the bolt (or nozzle), the one that feeds oil to the center crank bearings is different than the two that feed the cylinders.

Now a question, what's there now? Is it an open threaded hole?

Right now it has just bolts in the holes. That is the least of my worries. I can machine those right quick if someone would be generous enough to pull theirs out and take a picture or two and mesure the length
