Stuck bad

Post by Jd sled rider »

Well after lots of rain, it was now or never. At one in the morning, when you round a corner at twelve mph, and it looks like you are driving into a lake, this is what it looks like the next day. :bonk: It took several attempts to get it out. Hope no one ever gets things stuck this bad! Later Lincoln

Were the booms folded when you got stuck?

I usually get stuck with them out and end up sitting on them.

No, they were out, I folded them, and it sunk quite a bit over night. This was on muck ground. It actually went deeper when we were winching it out. Lesson learned about spraying after dark. Lincoln

So was that Case not enough to pull it out? Looks like it's being used as ballast for the wrecker?

We tried to pull it out with the case, but we could not get far enough away to get a good pull. When the tractor was almost stuck, we decided to call for assistance. The towing company showed with three wreckers. This was the small one! After getting it rigged, we hooked the case to the front for an anchor. Whe it was all said and done, the tractor was pulled back three feet, and the wreckers front end was off the ground two foot. I hope to never be in this situation again. I could have bought a new sled for the price of the tow bill :bonk: live and learn. Later lincoln

Glad you got out without tearing the sprayer into pieces.

Don't want to be picky, but the only thing case about that Steiger Quadtrack is the four letter word on the decal.
