Who's Ready?

Post by jep_800 »

We're just about a month out for our annual ride through the north woods! Who's working on sleds out there? I personally would like some more seat time to ensure all is well before they go in the trailer. I did get some riding in with my oldest son who was home on leave from the Army over Christmas. He enjoyed the little Arctic Cat I bought for the wife to ride this year.

Maynard and I were discussing that we should do our Red Lake Falls run again to get all the bugs worked out. I know Linder is busy prepping sleds now that the holidays are over... who else is working?

Yes the scramble to get the sleds prepped is in full swing. A rebuild of the 74 green machine suspension is in progress. New bearings on each end of the track, the rear idle assembly is now mostly NOS parts, and all the bogies will be replaced with NOS.

The 74 X8 needs a good look over, carb rebuild, and fresh crank seals.

The 73 X8 project is making progress. Would like to have that on the snow this year, we shall see how that goes.
