Charity Sled Exposure/Shows

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

I think that the charity sled needs exposure and of course once the tickets are ready, it needs to attend shows where the tickets (and another surprise item) can be sold. I would move the sled as much as I can but prefer that it be moved by someone attending the show. Example, Dan Cunningham and I have discussed taking the sled from A1 to Novi. Naturally I feel it needs to be transported in an enclosed trailer with the other show items, canopy, banner, tickets, etc. Could we please start a dialogue as to where you think the sled should be displayed and tickets sold? Thanks, DA

Matt has posted a picture on the homepage and a link to all the great pictures PJ submitted of the entire build. This is good.

I understand that the A-1 show is big. What is the date of the raffle drawing?

Any shows out east that it could make an apperance at?

I would suggest that it be heavily insured before hitting the road.

Can we get a homepage link to the Youtube video also Matt?

Todd, great points. Let's take them one at a time.

A1 show is big. Horicon Joe is working at warp speed to make certain we have tickets to sell by then but we're at the mercy of a state organization and when they approve the raffle.

Drawing date is at the induction banquet at the HOF in February, 2010. Exact date escapes me now but it's like the 20,21,or22nd.

I would hope we could find a large eastern show. Joe Rainville, any suggestions??

I never thought about the insurance thing Todd but I will check into it. I know the first question will be, "who owns it?" At this point I have to say (for insurance purposes) that I do since I originally purchased the sled on Ebay. Other than that I claim NO ownership. Any recommendations for an insurance carrier?

Video....that's Matt's thing.

Thanks again Todd.

Now that the sled has debuted and was a huge hit I want to bring this subject up again. I'll grant you that there are few shows the magnitude of A1 but had we had tickets, we would have sold a lot. We all know that "A picture's worth a thousand words" but the live product is even better than a picture.

With that in mind, are there other shows between now and Waconia where the sled could go and tickets sold??

Dave, ticket price is $10.00 per ticket. Information about how to buy should be out next week. Remember, it only takes one ticket to win..........................but a hundred or so will really improve your chances :lol22:
