Shop Dolly
I got my dolly at Fleet Farm here in Wisconsin, for about $200 and it lifts my vintage sleds, all the way up to my VMAX-4 with no problems, definatly worth the cash.

Almost forgot to add that the mounting is the same as a Liquifire/Invader.

The engine isn't to bad to rebuild, the bottom end is pretty much the same as a 440 Invader/Liquifire. The cylinders and heads are different,Because of extra porting, but you can use Invader/Liquifire pistons. The pin in the ring groove is in a different place but it clears all the ports on the inside...

It is a Kawi 4/6, If you look at the intake side you can see the runners for the extra ports, and that bellhousing/flywheel cover would also be for a 4/6,because that is where the dual coils get mounted. Proably just got a Deere 102,because the Comet clutch is easier to get parts for.

Will 440/22a Jugs fit on the 400/22 crankcase???
I had my 440/22 cylinders bored out .010 over this year just to clean them up, Had them done by a local shop by me, that I have been going to for years. He charged $60 a cylinder, and did an excellent job at cross hatching the bore, and the pistons we ordered from Parts Unlimited were original Kiortz...

I just got a set of OEM Kioritz pistons and rings, for my JDX motor, from Parts Unlimited, this last fall. They even came in the Kioritz packaging.

JDX-6 Mikuni Question
I rebuilt the Walbro on my X6 with a complete kit from Central, that has all new springs, gaskets, and even the spoon looking leafspring. If I'm not mistaken I think the bore on the factory Walbro is bigger then the bendix, which is proably choking off the intake a little. I'd like to try the Mikuni co...

Thats what I did, moved the mount for the wiring and the battery to the center of the sled, instead of mounting on the outside of the frame rails mount to the inside and you will be ok......just not as easy to get to the battery.

Usually jetting is different between your mag and pto cylinder, but I'm thinking a port engine like a Kawasaki Intuder, I'm not to sure if you'd run a fatter jet on the pto side, of a reed case motor, but still think that the farther side from the fan would be hotter. I guess try it but keep an eye on...

The X8 pipe exits on the right (passenger) side ,out the bottom of the pan, just ahead of the speedo housing. I don't think you would have to cut and weld the intake either. They seem to be thick enough to machine a couple of degrees off of the carb mount flange with a milling machine. Like I said ea...

I don't think the angle is far enough off to be a problem, your float should take up the minor angle, sort of like parking on a hill or something. I don't know if anyone saw the Merc 440 S/R at Waconia but he has the same KEC 440/22 motor and he had dual Mikunis' on it, looked like 34's,And he doesn'...
