im looking for 76 440 heads n cylinders to change a couple 340 into 440's

i really need a spitfire carb the round slide

i have everything i need for the switch airbox.flange,cables, i have dismantled 3 other spitfires over the past two years i know what jets i need the settings i just need the carb i had one guy email me that he had a nos carb i could buy but he stopped talking to me and i was willing to pay 200 buck...

ok if i was to go looking for a vm28 round slide for this spitfire other than the vm28 by the choke when els should i be looking for

yea people up here think they have big hunks of gold which is part of the reason i dont have more then one sled

i didnt think it would be this hard to get this carb i just may have to get rid of it too much of a pain in the butt and my niece is getting po ed at me

i know all about the butterfly carb IT SUX BUTT and the round slide is almost imposeible to find
i am planning on going to a local bike salvage yard to see if i can match up a carb can any one tell me what i need to look for
