UPDATE:
After cleaning up the inner sheave, discovered it is tapered and the moveable will does not fit

I just fired up my '74 X8 and it seems to smoke alot and not idle smooth
I havent been able to tune the engine yet as am waiting for clutch parts
but it seems to me that it is smoking way too much, could it be just from sitting too long?

I just cleaned a plastic tank of an X8 and it was gummed up really bad with varnish and sh*t. I scraped out alot of the big chunks, then I sprayed 3 cans of carb cleaner and dumped in some nuts, bolts and washers and shook the piss out of it
came out like new

Could someone help me out with the initial setting of the carburetor Wra-3 Walbro
what would be the proper spark plugs to use in this engine I have read many different opinions but would like to have it proper.
