Re: Kevin's Liquifire
Just an FYI. I believe the Arctic Cat part number for the Indak e-start switch that is used was 0609-278.

Re: Triton XT trailers
Thanks guys. I didn't mention this part of the story but my son told me he thinks the bolt was broken by my wife. She borrowed the trailer to move some stuff for a school activity. I guess she told my son the trailer made a loud pop and asked him to look it over. Sounds like they didn't notice an is...

Re: Triton XT trailers
Not sure why the one photo is upside-down. Anyway, the trailer is finally back together now. After this ordeal I'm seriously thinking about replacing axle mounting bolts this summer as well as new coupler and coupler mounting bolts. Also bought a gallon of aluminum brightener if the weather holds ou...

Re: Triton XT trailers
I bolted the tongue to the trailer before i welded the new pieces in place. The pieces in the deck frame were pretty difficult to get to. I had the front of the trailer lifted as far as I could and rolled under it with a creeper. It was pretty tight quarters and nursing a bad back didn't help the si...

Re: Triton XT trailers
I stopped by my local Triton dealer and asked if the extrusion could be purchased......no sir. So i set out to make my own. Just for the record, I'm not a professional welder and I have not done a lot of aluminum welding so please go easy on the appearance my welds. As I thought about this project I...

Triton XT trailers
Just wanted to share this one. Some know that I have a 1999ish Triton XT with topper. I bought this trailer when it was about 10 years old and have owned for almost 15 years now. The last ten years it has been stored in side but I'm pretty sure it has spent most of its life outside. Anyway, I had al...

Re: 78 Liquifire rebuild!
Re-cliping a track is not for the faint of heart. The clips on the one I did in the late 90s were so thin I was able to pry them off with a screwdriver very easily. At the time I swore I would never re-clip another track but since aftermarket tracks are no longer avaliable I may reconsider that thou...

Re: Classic Green Reunion
I thought the event in Columbus was pretty cool and I would love to attend another one, just not sure about the 6h 40m drive.....lol. Nick, what was the event in Columbus? Ohio or another state? I'm a little east of you in the Medina area. Brad The Classic Green Reunion is a John Deere tractor show...

Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
I tried removing a dent in that area of a pipe once. Heated it and used a long rod to try to push it out. I think I would have been better off to not touch it. Reciently I saw someone pop a dent on a dirt bike pipe by heating it and then pressurizing the pipe. Not sure I'd try that myself. I once wo...

Re: Kevin's Liquifire
I did staple the seat cover over the wood, used monel and stainless staples (I ran out of monel and wasn't paying that much for more so I switched to stainless). I used the headliner adhesive only where needed (butt area and tail light area). In the past I've tried super 77 and didn't have much luck...

Re: Bulkhead rivets
I was looking at old post and realized I could add some detail to this. At least on the 82 liquifire Deere used two different lenght rivets. I ended up purchasing SSPQ64 and SSPQ66. It's been awhile but from what I remember most of the rivets were the shorter ones. Didn't use a large quantity of the...

Re: Kevin's Liquifire
Oh....forgot to mention this. When i bought this sled the key had been lost. I had intended to replace the switch but wanted to keep things as original as possible and didn't want to use the aftermarket switch that is available. So in the end, here is what I did. Turns out you can still purchase a g...

Re: Kevin's Liquifire
Sorry it's been awhile since I've put up some photos. I've been dealing with back issues the last few weeks and have been staying out of the shop. I ventured out there today to attempt to winterize the wife's camper. While I was there I snapped some photos. First one, here's the completed e-start sy...
