JD 300 - Kohler 295 parts 4 sale

Electric start ring gear - $20
Useable piston,pin,cylinder and head off the 295 - $40
Shrouds and coil mount from the 295 - $25

Sled is gone, this needs to go too :sled:
Most can go USPS Priority, except for the shrouds, but they're not heavy.

Sold the little 300 this AM :naughty: Have some leftovers I collected while we had it: Flywheel w/pulley and recoil cup - $25 295AX exhaust manifold - $10 Electric start ring gear - $20 Pair of heads- clean, no bent fins - $25/pr Have the shrouding, a useable piston and cyl, and probably more. A stock Mikuni carb boot will work, but you have to enlarge the holes for the mounting bolts as the ones the Walbros used are larger. I ended up getting Allen head bolts from the hardware store as they fit better than nuts/washers. You'll need a fuel pump too. I used a single VM 34 off an El Tigre 4...

Picked up a NOS one last year, was the "Sport" model, for sleds up to 60 HP. Put it on a JD 300 with the 295 Kohler. Engagement was a little high, but a very nice clutch. Looks like this:

That still has the Kohler 295 in it, right? I got a spare blower housing with stator still in it if you find bad news in yours. If I bring enuff beer, maybe we can drop 'em off at my house instead of makin' 'em all crispy :lol22:

That should be a points style motor (Kohler 295AX). What needs " redone"?? Coils?

These just press in and out of the housing? Took a spare mag housing off a parts motor, had to beat the fan assy out of the bearings. Seemed like a tight press fit with a nice corrosion coating to seal it in there.... Just press out the old bearings and replace? With the aluminum housing I can't see...
