Re: Fire series sled parts ! Check out the sled prices :)
I have a 1980 Liquifire that I'm trying to sell or give some TLC. Do you have any interest in buying it? Otherwise do you do work on your own sleds, are you interested or to you know anyone that can work on my JD? I'm having a hard time finding anyone in Western PA, as I live in Monroeville. Looking...

Re: 80 Liquifire - Engine boggs out after 20-30 minutes
Actually once started the sled run great with lots of power. It does have spark, compression is strong. Seems to be getting more than enough fuel b/c it goes through a tank very quickly, not fuel efficient at all.
But seems like an electrical problem.

Re: 1978 liquifire wont run when hot
I had someone else this site tell me by replacing the CDI they corrected the issue. Does that sound like it makes sense?

Re: 80 Liquifire - Engine boggs out after 20-30 minutes
Actually I have a new coil pack that is not installed and not a CDI. Is is wise to invest in a new CDI or work with the stator? I should say that the sled doesn't want to start on it's own when cool easily. It needs a little starter fluid to get going, but once running it's very strong. Thoughts?

I'm having the exact same issue with a 1980 liquifire. Could the CDI need replaced?

80 Liquifire - Engine boggs out after 20-30 minutes
If anyone can help me with this I'd appreciate it. I have a 1980 Liquifire, after getting it started with a little starter fluid it seems to run well for about 20-30 minutes. At that point the engine begins to bogg out and the sled will not move. Of course the sled has gas, the track and drive parts...
