The CDI was the culprit! We changed everything to eliminate the high rpm miss (coils, trigger, flywheel, jetting), nothing worked. Choke plunger is good but not used. The engine requires higher octane fuel so we actually start engine with a squirt bottle containing lower octane gas. We purchased several sets of .040 over aftermarket pistons for our 340 Cyclone last year. Thought we had enough for our needs, but, a bad batch of race fuel wiped out a set so we are looking for another set as a backup. The .040 over pistons bring us closer to the class cc limit.

Anyone know offhand what the approximate weight difference is between a '76 340 Liquifire and '78 340 Liquifire? I'm referring to only the tunnel and bulkhead - all other parts removed. Thanks for your help

You may have an issue with clearance if using a Polaris primary clutch as the Polaris fixed sheeve is thicker than the 102c.
