Shipping is FREE on CDI's in USA / Priority Mail (2~3 days in the states)...FREE to Canada as well, but much longer 14~18 days. For $20 will get it there in 4~5 days to Canada....thanks guys!

We started last year with 6 prototype rewound stators to get things going. A few (black wire units) were sold after we had some hr's on them & decided they worked. Since then, we have converted to YELLOW & BLUE wires & GREEN for lighting. Probably have 25 or so rewinds out there now. I d...

2 types were used...either 30-ohms between wires (2X that between the other wires), or 197-ohms each & 2X that using the other 2 wires...Scott

Actually, if it's a Prestolite, it does internally have a limiter. Nothing you can set a tachometer to, as there is variation from unit to unit. The limiter was not there to save the engine, rather a limit to reduce the RPM when the voltage into the CDI exceeds a pre-set threshold. This was to save ...

Don't do it...the points coil has much thinner windings (and more resistance) & cannot handle the additional current from the CDI. When it fails, there is a chance it could short out the CDI & on the stock CDI, this could cause a failure. You need to stick with the stock coils. They were not...
