Been working on this again. Picked up a new hewtech and a set of coils. Runs clean to 8200 or so, but still seems to stall out at about 35-40mph. So tonight I gave up an cleaned up the worn 295 jugs/pistons and put them back on. They are worn, but in my experience not enough that it shouldn't run go...

Anyone have a source for these? Aftermarket? Got a nice snow last night and dug it out to take the wife for a ride through the woods, and throttle cable is boned.

Year later, but thanks guys. Don't think I'll ever "restore" it, but I enjoy fixing stuff on it and making it "better" Took it on a 10mi ride sunday 2up with my wife. Her first sled ride ever, and we had over 12" of power, what shitshow. lol.

I would focus your efforts on the carb. As long as the ignition coils, exciter coils, points, and condensor are in good shape, there is no real reason the points won't work on a well tuned engine.
