Doesn't the 340/s use the same prestolite ignition design as the 76-78 Lqui/Cyclones? If so, check out the stator. If you have a multimeter, Scott Hewett has the resistance information on his web page.

I came across a set of chrome/zinc cast badging that I removed from a Cyclone. Sled came from the SW part of Wisconsin. Badging reads “Eichstaedt Implement”. No breaks, chrome is flaking in one spot to reveal the copper plating. Free for the pick up in central Wi, I’ll mail for the cost of postage…....
