Re: ski spreaders?

Brian you are spot on. We mid-mount riders should be able to qualify for a healthcare rebate for gym membership as a hour on a mid-mount is a damn good work-out!

Of course the physical therapy for back pain and knee replacement tend to make that healthcare savings disappear...

Re: room in your closet for a couple months?

Adam, If someone can get it to the Twin Cities between now and Waconia, I would be more than happy to lend some closet space (or garage space if DA wants to send along a nice 340S or '78 440 LQ for 'safe' keeping...). I live only 15 miles west of Waconia and work by the MSP airport so could meet up ...

Re: Thank You !!!

I had the honor of being invited to attend an ROTC commissioning ceremony a couple of weeks ago. Damn near brought a tear to my eye. Seriously. To see 43 young men and women who have already committed their schooling lives to the military, and now are embarking on active duty and guard duty revives ...

The Green Mile

Seems a lot of people get whiney about snow in April, but I took it as a opportunity to move the sleds from the garage to the barn, under their own power! :sled:

They usually suffer the indignity of riding on a pallet.

Here's hoping that all your Saturday mornings were white! :thinksnow:

Re: Thoughts & Prayers Needed for the Amber Family

Bob, Don and the extended Amber family,

Please know that thoughts and prayers abound from the Andersons. Such sad events make no sense. I know you can count on the support of the JD folks in the times ahead.

Those look like a pair on a trailer that was listed on ebay about 3 years ago in Los Angeles. Looks like the decals could have used some sun block...

Re: OK, What's happening at Princeton?

Hot and dusty. Can't speak for the Friday arrivers, but not too much Deere on Saturday. Did not hear of any 'finds' like Jesse's Liquifire last year. I saw Jesse, JDJR, Steve Tabor, Duane, Mitch, and a few others I don't know right off hand. Lots of deals on dirt bikes and mid '90s Polaris Sleds and...

Re: THANK YOU for a great Waconia weekend

Whether you consider JD sled collecting/restoring/riding a sport, obsession, or sickness, we all owe a debt of gratitude to Jesse for putting us on the map this year at Waconia! I may lead a boring life in general, but this past weekend was pretty special. Seeing all the sleds, talking with all the ...

Re: Waconia Panic has set-in

Mission accomplished! At least part 1... Went through Waconia on the way to work and stopped at the Waconia Farm Supply (Arctic Cat dealer) and picked up a couple of Arctic Cat grommets (Kitty Cat tank uses them). $1.27 each (the Toro branded part was $4.50). I am now an optimist that the sled will ...

Re: Waconia Panic has set-in

Thanks for the info Joe. Weather lately has sucked. Rained much of Saturday. Things are pretty slushy, not things will be rutted ice as the cold comes back later in the week. We still have a foot of snow on the ground around my house, and I am about 15 miles west of Waconia, so hopefully the lake wi...

Waconia Panic has set-in

If the road to Waconia were paved with good intentions, it would be smooth sailing. Unfortunately, there are a few potholes yet. I'm trying to get a pretty rough 83 Sportfire ready for the ride on Saturday, and I busted the gas tank fitting. I assume (with much hope) that these are common parts that...
