Re: Parting out '78 Spitfire

Okay... Well at this point the remaining parts are getting in the way and I don't feel like holding on to them at the moment. Need the space for fixing a different snowmobile.

So, if someone is local and wants to make a reasonably low offer for all of the remaining parts, you can come pick them up.

Re: Have a pic of your secondary?

Don't believe I need it, but thanks. I took it off awhile ago and had a guy wanting to buy the primary and secondary off of me. I just took the primary off, but couldn't remember if there was a bolt with the secondary, since it had been awhile. In any event, I sold him the stuff, but he didn't need ...

Have a pic of your secondary?

I took my Spitfire sled apart, but I'm just looking for a pic of the secondary clutch. Primarily, how does it mount? I'm trying to remember if there is a bolt... I looked at the JDParts site, but would like to see an actual picture...

Thanks.

What is the point of Spitfire airbox?

Just curious, do they really do anything? There aren't any filters or anything in them, right?

Re: Where is the clutch removal thread?

I went and got about a 2 inch 9/16" x 18 bolt for about $3.50. Put some hydraulic fluid in the hole, Teflon tape around the screw, and a ratchet wrench. Was really easy to do. Barely even had to work. Really loud pop, though, when it came off. I probably only had the screw in a half inch when i...
