We decided to rebuild the crank. Cleaned the cylinders up, they look good. Re-use the pistons, new std. rings, gaskets etc.
For the few times a year it gets used it should be fine.

So I guess my best bet is to rebuild the crank. New gaskets and put the original piston and rings back in and hope for the best?

By the response I'm I'm thinking pistons maybe are no longer available? I thought maybe Kimpex, Weisco etc. might have a crossover number or the pistons might be the same as another brand of motor. I was thinking of getting 440 jugs and boring them because I believe the oversized pistons for a 440/5...
