Taking the seat off was pretty easy...and the bolts were rusty, but the wood the rotten, so the seat popped right off! It was really painstaking to get the cover off of the foam with out wrecking it, though! Between the cover being sealed to the foam, and foam being glued to the two wooden pieces......

I did a cursory carb cleaning (not what really needs to be done!), and tried starting it, when I got home today...started and ran, but was boggy...when I felt the y-pipe, the clutch side was cool and the mag side was warm! So I did a quick compression test...120/121, so not bad...sprayed premix righ...

Really good spark on both sides, but that doesn't mean both sides are running...does it? I thought of this at the guy's house, too...but I won't dig too much deeper until I get the carbs cleaned and fuel lines replaced.
