Liquifire motor in a cyclone

Hi, been a while.
I ran across a liquifire motor(looks to be 77)and was thinking of putting it in my 77 Cyclone. Do You think this is an ok idea or leave it alone? Just looking for opinions.
Thanks
Now I can't upload a photo, file too big. I thought site used to resize.

Re: New project...

Got it to run! on right cyl only. Ran great for 1 cyl.
Good spark and fuel Maybe bad crankshaft seal and or injector. Left side will not fire.

Re: Getting another New/Used sled!

Yes, throttle over ride system.
Make sure it work good. If mine didn't, I would need a new garage door. I also use BR9ES plugs. Works great. Wildcat will run tomorrow!

New project...

Just bought a non running 94 wildcat 700efi. After a few tests I found the stator to be bad. I did find one on web and ordered it(pats small engines). I just hope I can replace it without pulling motor...

Re: Getting another New/Used sled!

I have a 98 which I bought 2 months ago. blew the motor bottem end 24 hours after I bought it so bought a used motor and runs great. Motor blew due to #3 carb fuel line pinched in half and oil is mixed in fuel pump. Get 1" studs (alot) Runs perfect now and very fast.

Re: 98 srx 700

OK now runs great and put 144 studs in track. These were woodys gold digger .875. They helped but should have got the 1".

Re: removing ski spindle

If pinch bolt is off or loose, try an air hammer on the spindle top. Maybe spread the arm with a chisel.

Re: 98 srx 700

OK had BR10ES plugs in it and fouled one last night. Now BR9ES and ran great but lighter then I like. Piston tops look fine but plugs very light brown. Maybe go back to the BR10ES? Any thoughts?

Re: 98 srx 700

I guess its supposed to be wrapped around the chaincase. Bad design but dealer service dept said that too. Runs great light brown plugs(would like them darker).
Now speedo crapped out.

98 srx 700

Getting it back together now but want to see if any of you can tell me how to route the pull start rope. I know this not a yamaha forum but the smartest group ever.
The rope was wraped around the brake assembly and wore grooves in it. I just cant see a clear path.
Thank you.....
