BAD CDI on 80' Liquifire?
What are the usual symptoms of a bad CDI? Is it usually related to temperature (i.e when sled is warm)? Or will the sled not run at all? Does anyone have a NOS CDI for an 80 Liquifire?

Take it to the Limit
Rich, I found today that it is an issue of warm start up. I let it idle until temp gauge read 160 F. I shut it off w/ kill switch to check warm compression (135-140 psi). After checking compression I went to restart and it behaved like all of the other times it would not restart. I decided to put a ...

Take it to the Limit
Rich, I tried sending to your inbox but got an error Oh the joy of having a Liquifire! Well I replaced the coil and thought everything was going to be okay. Drove it around for about 5-7 miles (at moderate speed w/ a few wide open bursts) and everything seems to be running okay but turned south when...

Liquifire Frustration
I am not running premix. What temp does the red zone correspond to on the factory gauge?
I have already experienced not having the chokes not adjusted right :-) so I am pretty sure it is not that. Regarding bogging it does not bog at all when 1st started.

Danzig's 1980 Liquifire
I just did a search. I cannot find it using the text you recommended. Even if I search under Liquifire it does not show up. Does it take a while to show up?

Liquifire Fuel Pump
Any of you out there rebuilt the Liqufire (1980) fuel pump? Tech manual states that it is non serviceable but I have seen rebuild kits on Ebay for the Liquifire. Other than the crankcase filling with fuel are there other symptoms you have experienced that was the result of a malfunctioning fuel pump...

Bolts on 102 C Clutch Cover Plate
I am extremely happy to say I was able get the broken bolt out without any signficant issue. I drilled a pilot using a drill press and used the easy out bit with a t-handle. I took my time and made sure I was as close to dead center as possible (laser crosshairs could not be used because the bolt wa...

Thank you everyone. I too called Comet today and received the same info (12 ft-lbs). They stated the bolt length as 1.75". I think someone else mentioned the Liquifire is 1.25" and that it is different than other sleds w/ the 102C. Also do you recommend using an easy out bit or drilling an...

Bolts on 102 C Clutch Cover Plate
I was torqueing the bolts to spec on the primary clutch on my Liquifire (20 ft-lbs) and they snapped off before they reached spec (or my torque wrench is malfuctioning). Any ideas how to get them out without damaging the threaded hole. Where can I get more?

I am using Gunk (1 gallon w/ a basket). Another question. In the attached photo which jet is the main and the power jet. Is it the lower jet (barely visible in the photo) and the main a hex head in upper portion of photo? The lower jet is a 145 and the upper a 110. This is the carb from the PTO side...
