Anybody know if a liquid fire 440 muffler will work on a 76 cyclone 440? My old muffler and manifold have been cobbed up and they were work well together except manifold has seen better days and has multiple crack on it already have a new manifold on sled and don't think I'll be able to repair muffl...

What exactly is the difference between the two? The one I took off has a much larger ball on the end of it.

am53987 is the part number for the original exhaust manifold for the '76 340/440 engines. am54712 is the part number for the replacement exhaust manifold included in kit number AM54711 which was used to repair the flaired end on the muffler. http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.parts...

So finally got motor back into the 76 440 cyclone after a good cleaning and new crank seals and new exhaust manifold. Onto the next problem fired it up and sounds like im running a open header exhaust pipe isnt fully seating on the new manifold. the part number is am54712 i bought it off ebay here i...

was wondering if it is ok to use the ribbed crank seals that new breed sells for a cyclone 440 i know the nos ones are not ribbed and dont wanna trim the rib off like mentioned if the desire was there. what does the ribbing do vs the non ribbed seals?
