thanks, what i need is the maximum rpm to hit with out going past the power band and over reving the engine when i go to set up my clutching. are you saying this is a 9,000 rpm engine in stock form?

hello all, im new to the john deere scene. i recently picked up a 1983 liquifire to oval race. what is the max rpm theese motors should turn in stock form? has anyone ever tried changing the jackshaft and using arctic cat clutches? any input would be great! thanks
