Re: 76 cyclone 440
Thanks guys for your input so far. Does anyone know why the links for testing stator and cdi don't work in sum of the threads I found? Or if there's a better place to go for the tests. I have repair manuals and what vintagesnow has but there using a special dealer meter, doesn't give exactly best sp...

Re: 76 cyclone 440
I agree with the crank seals. But I'd also start looking at all your components in those carbs, and get the proper fuel pump. I had a sled that had dual mikuni's on it that ran like crap. When I started inspecting they were way off from factory specs. First thing is to get the service manual (can b...

76 cyclone 440
Hello fellows, I just got a hold of 2 76 cyclone 440s. The sleds were running, kinda. The guy said he drove last year but ran kinda shitty so I went threw carbs and new fuel lines and tank ect... One sled runs, so I think but it always dies when I drive more then around the yard one time. I can idle...

Re: Jdx8 fuel system
Well fellows a little update for you all, I redid the pickup line in the tank since it was not laying down on bottom of tank so it was sucking air. So now i have the air bubbles and fuel figured out it tested again, then adjusted the lever arm to just below the base plate about .006 and drove and ev...

Re: Jdx8 fuel system
All new lines and filter and tight, but my brother supposedly checked that. Now after I talked to him he just drained gas and said it was clean inside so that's what I have to check next. So moral of story is I should have done it it all myself like I usually do but...

Re: Jdx8 fuel system
A little update for all. I seen sum gas under carb, I'm assuming that it came from the little weep holes things on side of carb that someone else had it coming out of once b4. I also noticed fuel in pulse line also which I'm thinking was from it flooding most of the time. I rechecked n cleaned carb ...

Re: Jdx8 fuel system
I seen and did all proper adjustments, I just can't figure out why was some what fine when I got it going and 2 days after but then 5 days later it does this with no changes. But I haven't tore into it yet. Of all the ways to adjust the lever, I still am a little unclear the exact point to bend it b...
