Re: Rich, good , or lean??
When I did the gasket kit I adjusted the falcrum arm down a bit as it was raised slightly. Before my fuel line was full all the time as with my return line. Now my return line is full and my supply line is half empty below the filter. The longer I run it the more it seems to go down very slowly. I'm...

Re: Rich, good , or lean??
To be honest I forget which plug came from which side. They could both be from the same side, I tested two sets of plugs this is one of each of the sets both looked the same I'm pretty sure the right one is a br9eya and the one on the left is a champion rn2 or During this ride I shredded the belt be...

Rich, good , or lean??
So I pulled these plugs out after a little riding mostly wot in a field. How do they look to you? 91 octane 40:1 Its a jdx8 with a Tillotson HD 14a carb Rode it on factory HD settings of 1 turn out for high and low speed. In the picture they are two different plugs as I tested one set then another t...

Re: Jdx8 help!
That was the primer hose that I could see fuel but determined the was just pulling the remaining gas in the line not from the tank... I just put on a clear hose on the pulse line and I've definitely got fuel in it. So what part of the carb should I be looking at? I'm still waiting on a rebuild kit b...

Re: Jdx8 help!
Is this considered a bad diaphragm? It pumps fuel, the fulcrum arm was set a little high when I took it apart, lowered it back to level as per manual (tillotson carb) now my fuel line has air in the first section seems like it's using more fuel than it's drawing. Filter is full those below is full b...

Re: Jdx8 help!
So I think I have it figured out now after getting a tillotson service manual and seeing how it actually works.(I'm used to slide type carbs) The screen that stops the throttle basically shouldn't be used to set your idle but to hold the throttle plate in the correct position so as it only runs on t...

Re: Jdx8 help!
That's what I'm thinking soon. I got a video of it running today. It fouled the plug pretty fast and the idle was lower that what i set it to yesterday when it was warm The video shows the spark I got, looks better in person. And another video of just after startup still not at operating temp. Got s...

Re: Jdx8 help!
I'm sure it's running rich, I've just never seen a spark plug so wet before. Hard to read the plug when it's wet and black lol Just for a little piece of mind I'm going to put a clear pulse line on and see if maybe it's sucking fuel through there. Where are the drain plugs on the crank in these? I s...

Re: Jdx8 help!
It appears to be a tillotson carb yes. I can try and find a number. I did let it warm up and took it to the end of my alley and back WOT killed it before commingled to a stop and pulled the plug. It was wet and black. Nothing is getting baked on if I wipe it it looks brand new. Also I flushed the ga...
