I have a KEC440/21 engine. What is the correct setting for the points? Also, what is the correct timing setting before top center? Thanks, NYDEERE

I am working on a Deere sled with a reed style KEC440/22 engine with 2 very scored pistons, rings and cylinders. I do have a set of cylinders with good pistons and rings from a KEC 440/21 engine. Can I put the parts from the series 21 engine on to the series 22 engine? Thanks, NYDEERE

Thanks for the update on the rotary engine question. I know there is a move in the industry today to go to 4 cycle engines in new sleds and often wondered if a rotary would ever be an option. Does anyone know if Deere tested or researched using a rotary, Wankel type engine in a Deere snowmobile? I do know we had a joint venture with CCW rotary engines back in the 70's or 80's. I think we even used some of them in military vehicles before Deere sold out of the rotary business. Also, does ...
