If a total rebuild is in the picture, MEK (Methylethylketone) in that ultrasonic cleaner will work the best. Do not get this stuff in contact w/ anything you don't want disolved. Will eat any type of rubber and removes paint (with hardener). But if you have access to a blaster, Ryans idea would work...
