Duane, I really do have to say thanks for being patient on that deal.
By the way can you ask your buddy about the motor he has. I am very interested if he wants to part with it.

Re: The Carburetor from Hell
I will start by saying that I hate power jet mikunis with a passion. If your flange is leaking, replacing it is the first step. The choke moving around is a common issue. Maybe try removing it from the dash a temporally remount it more solid to eliminate that variable. Also if you don't have a manua...

Re: Any value??
That's a pretty solid looking Yamaha. I would say it would be a very easy flip if that is your intention, or another nice rider either way.

We will be swinging through Batxer Mn also. Not sure if it will be on the trip down or the return. Just another option if someone knows a place.

Re: ccw kec 340 rs motor f/a info help
Being a fan conversion I would lean more towards a scorpion motor. They came from the factory with f/a conversions in 71. I don't know if any other manufactures cut down fans into free airs but scorpion did. Can you post a pic of the intakes?

If it is a free air it wont be from a Deere, most likely a scorpion. Pics would help in identifying it.

Re: Racing help from the JDSleds faithful Winnepeg 1-500
I have to say I agree with the chassis choice. The sled I have done most of my riding on was a 77 440LF, it is a ditch/ cc machine. The amount of abuse that machine took even after it was 30 years old was ungodly. I have not raced much outside of the 100miler single cylinders, but if you had to choo...

Re: Dead Cats
In my experience if a dog likes to kill it is very hard to stop them. If you don't want to lose anymore cats you can return the dog, I think some places will even refund the money or let you exchange the dog.

I was looking in my fine tune manual and stumbled across these measurements.

102c 11.88" +/- .030"
TR 800 11.88" +/- .030"

According to my fine tune manual the liquifire was 44 degree straight ramp and the sportfire was a compound 32-48 degree.

Re: This summers project. Non sled related...
I am glad that you posted an update from this Spring. I have gone the whole summer confused. I thought you were just stacking firewood in random shapes. The end result is beautiful. The only problem I see is that the door is not big enough for sleds in the Winter. We actually had that discussion at...
