went ice fishing fri.out about 4 miles from shore when it happened.got trailered in took the snowmobile to my shop and pulled the head.piston on the recoil side, same one i had rebuilt last year any body know what would cause this, fuel mixture is 50 to 1,I run with the air box on but not the hose, ...

started the sled today with the air box hooked up.didnt want to idle at all then quit, instantly loaded up. waited a bit then tried again didnt want to start.fouled plugs.not enough air intake?now what?

put on my recently purchased air box from ebay today WHAT A PAIN!!! no wonder when you find a old sled to buy the air box is missing!!can you still buy the metal cone inserts new or make do with the old rusted one? cleaned it up best i could looks like it was a party palace for mice the last 20 yrs....

hole in the piston on recoil side. when my dad and i got it runnin only one side got warm and sled wouldnt really move.after the rebuild the mechanic ran it all around and showed me some odds and ends but wasnt concerned about the airbox so i was wondering

great advice todd thanks..Ive been lookin for manuals on this sled but only found the operators on ebay and bought it. but surely a service manual will turn up.know another place to find one?

is it a easy installation?and while im down there what should i grease heard about addin zerks but dont have a clue where?

thanks for the info fellas.. ordered two to have them but when they came the invoice had a different name called slide rail straps not limiter strap does anybody know if there is a difference?or maybe wrong straps
