Re: Identify early/late flywheel and stator

A few years back I spent a few bucks and hours of time tracking down a new stator and CDI for my 83 liquifire. I was told after the fact a non HSR stator will work with the HSR CDI unit. I have pictures of the HSR parts somewhere

1983 liquifire... No fuel

It's been a few years since I've been active on the forum, and since I went through my real nice 83 liquifire. I got it down to the garage to get it ready for this winter but its not getting fuel to the carbs. The filter and lines are clear and it appears as if the problem is with the fuel pump. Any...

Re: 74 JDX8... NO SPARK... I know, broken record right?

I have the same exact issue with my 74 jdx8. No spark either side.. I took the kill switch/key switch out of play.. nothing no spark. I replaced points, checked grounds.. nothing. I have come to the conclusion that I have a bad ignition coil.. but I have not found one so the sled has been sitting fo...

Re: 80 liquifire carb choke valves

I had this problem when I had my 80 Liquifire. I tried soaking, tapping into them, but they were just STUCK. Eventually I had to drill them out as a last resort. I do not recommend drilling them as you risk damaging the carb, but I had no choice. Luckily I did not ruin the carb and got them out. On ...

No Spark 74 JDX8

My 74 JDX8 electric start is getting no spark. I disabled the keyswitch/kill switch, no spark on either cylinder. I replaced the points, still no spark. What should I do/check now to continue trouble shooting? Thanks.

Welcome! You most likely will catch the deere bug now that you are a member here! Two years ago I started off with one.. since then I have had seven different deere sleds.. down to four now but they seem to keep appearing in the garage!

Re: John Deere-Polaris connection?

I have found that online translators are actually very poor at translating. I speak fairly decent German and for fun I will type in sentences into online translators and have them try and translate it back into english.. and it never turns out anywhere near right half the time.
