Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
Thanks Dan for the input. I’ll put this pipe aside for this season and use one of the others. A couple of my trailfires I won’t have time to get ready so I’ll rob one to get this machine done.

Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
Here is the worst one I’ve got. It’s kinda hard to tell in the picture but there are dents on top and bottom side. I ran the one Trailfire last year with this pipe and I thought it ran fine but my experience with these or any two stokes is fairly limited. I’m fine with leaving dents I just don’t kno...

Re: Winterfrost 2 Paint code needed
Old topic but I was searching around to find some paint to spray in the belly pan of on of my trailfires while I have the engine removed. Not really concerned about it matching the original just wanted to get something close to stop the rust from getting worse. Hopefully someday I’ll have the time t...

Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
Got the major stuff back together and took it off the stand and back to the storage pallet. IMG_3958.jpeg Put the seat and a windshield off another machine on to see how she looked after the clean up and getting the hood sitting down on the tank and dash like it should. This machine had the hood hin...

Re: Kevin's Liquifire
Sorry it's been awhile since I've put up some photos. I've been dealing with back issues the last few weeks and have been staying out of the shop. I ventured out there today to attempt to winterize the wife's camper. While I was there I snapped some photos. First one, here's the completed e-start s...

Re: Northwoods fishing
That looks and sounds like a lot of fun…… it’s been very very dry down here going on 3 years and our local lakes are all struggling to stay full. We have an 85 cobalt that we ski/wakeboard/relax on and we just weren’t able to get out much with it this summer.

Re: Swag for the trailer
What length trailer is yours? I’m going to be on the lookout for something to haul at least two of mine at some point but if I was to haul four in an enclosed what length would anyone consider minimum for four sleds? I’ve been considering an enclosed for other purposes as well (smaller lawn care too...

Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
Haven’t had very much extra time lately for working on the sport… army worm invasion, seeding peoples lawns, football season, terrible sickness that wrecked the guts…. Anyhow things are calming down and cooling down and I’m glad for that. I got the sled up to high lift position to mess with the trac...

Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
Got the seals replaced finally. Looked kinda ok from the outside but note how they were after getting them out. Spring broken and the other the lip was worn through. IMG_3884.jpeg Got more stuff cleaned up then dropped the belly pan down on a 2x4 across a couple jack stands to attempt to persuade th...

Re: Kevin's Liquifire
That stinks that you have the tools so close but can’t put them to use. I don’t think anyone will get too worked up about the patch job. They will be too busy looking at that sweet hood. Nice job!

Re: Alternative Production Fire Series Tracks - AM54969, AM54331, AM55269.
Gary any update for the project? Since I expanded the herd this year I suppose you better put me down for 4 now. I think I’ll be able run the tracks I’ve got for a while but would rather not put time and money into them if these reproductions will be available at some point. Thanks again for your ef...

Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
Nick thanks for the link. That looks simple enough and yeah if you set the sled on blocks would be easy to stuff the lift under it. Here is what I made this spring to store/move mine in my shed. IMG_3612.jpeg IMG_3757.jpeg Now this will only really be useful if someone has fork lift or tractor with ...

Re: 80 Trailfire & 81 sportfire
I decided to start with the sport as it looked like most everything was there and will take less work to get ready. The trail has some interesting things going on with tape, foreign switches/wiring on the handlebars. I got the carb worked over. New jets, needle/seat, cleaned up. Put a kit in the fue...
