FS 1982 Sportfire

Post by johnnycyclone »

Up for sale is a beautiful 1982 Sportfire. This was a full restoration 3 years ago, and just underwent a mini restoration this past summer. Everything on this sled has been done and it's ready to ride. The track is in very good condition. The suspension was disassembled cleaned and painted. It has all new bearings and a new shock. The polished tunnel is nice and straight. All new driveshaft, and jack shaft bearings. It took 3 engines to find perfect cylinders, crank is done by Jerome with all new bearings. New pistons, rings, seals and gaskets. Fuel system has been cleaned with new fuel lines, and filter. Clutching is good, very little wear on the sheaves. Seat has been recovered. Ski's are nice and straight with newer wear bars. Paint is base coat clear coat, including TPR panels. New decals, gauges, smoked windshield, and hand warmers. The only two issue it has is a small crack on the hood, and it's missing the air intake for the engine cooling. The picture is one before the mini resto. I will try to post more tomorrow night. Asking price $1500.00

Thanks JDRIDER, I wish I had the room to keep it. But, even if I had the room, I still need the cash to put into my next project so something has to go. Did we meet at the show by chance?

I updated the pic to something more recent in the first post. I also have 17 in my photobucket account, follow the link below and you should be able to see them.

Thanks for the plug Rob, but it wasn't meant to be this time around. I thought for sure some one would try a snipe bid at the end, but that didn't happen either. That's Ebay though, you never know what's going to happen at any time. You just need two buyers that want it real bad.

I had the reserve set at $1200, for the auction, so I will offer it on here for the same price, $1200.
