Does anyone know?
Does anyone know?
I came across an interesting cardstock sign the other day. Would anyone know it's history?

Re: Does anyone know?
Yes I Know. Back in 1974/5? There was a dealer introductory meeting in northern Wis. Was held at a Old Motel resort complex north of Eagle Rivver called The Gateway. I think it was held in the spring with snow on the ground. The dealers from the midwest got a chance for hands on with snow blowers and snow removal eguip along with the new line of snowmobiles. On every motel room door hung one of these cards. I was with the test crew that was passing by on our way to upper Mi. testing in Houghten. We stoped in for lunch and while passing the rooms grabbed 2 of these. Yours is the only other one I have seen so far. My 2 now belong to a member of this site in Horicon.

Ed,
That's interesting information - thanks very much for sharing. The person i got mine from told me it came from the 1972 snowmobile introduction at Horicon. Maybe they were used at both functions..? At any rate, i was lucky to come by it and will enjoy it with my other John Deere keepsakes and memorabilia...

Re: Does anyone know?
I've stayed there (Gateway) several times.
I'll have to see if I can find the pics of 75 when I was there with the 400's.
(That's where my door hanger went...not really)
Very cool stuff.
Years & years & things just keep turning up.
