What you are looking at is the Moto-Ski version of the Ski-Doo Blizzard 5500 MX. Goofy trailing arm front end, decient rear. Heavy sled, rode nice, handled like a tank. Not alot of power, but a nice sled for an 81.

Good Luck with it,
-Joe Rainville

PS: Far fewer Moto-Ski MX's built than Ski-Doo's!

Got any pics yet? I got one but it has 20 times the mileage still a nice looking machine and it can haul azz. Once you get the rear suspension to compress and the track hooks up it will take off like a rocket. The MX was voted sled of the year in 81 and 82 by the sno rags of the day. It was an innovative sled but should not have gotten the award two times

Some advise for you, liquedfire, don't even think about riding that MX on anthing other than a hardpack trail. Those sleds are famous for two things 1) easiest sled t to get stuck ever built,(cept maybe for a Chrysler SnoRunner 2) most difficult sled to get unstuck. If you happen to have the owners manual for the MX, it even states right in there that the machine is designed for hardpack trail riding useage only. But, it really is a sweet riding sled .......with a cushy ride that many of todays sleds would be hard pressed to equal. You got a heckuva deal on it.
