Piston Pin Installation
Will the many aftermarket piston pin pullers work to install piston pins as well? In the manual, JDM-7 looks to be quite a bit longer. Anyone have a JDM-7 they'd part with? Thanks

Piston Pin Installation
I am not sure on the aftermarket tools, but I made one. Here is picture in use.
Materials used:
1/4 inch all-thread
1/4 inch nuts
fender washers
metric socket
small piece of 3/4 inch pvc conduit
Grind/shape a radius in one end of the conduit to match the curve of the piston
Cut the conduit to the length about 1/4 inch longer than the piston pin
The total length of the all-thread needs to be long enough to go thru a 1/4 inch drive metric deep well socket( the outside dia. approx. the same as the piston pin)plus the piston and the conduit and have enough threads for the washers and nuts on the ends.
Tighten the nuts and the socket will push out the piston pin into the conduit.

Piston Pin Installation
What about installation? I made something similar for the removal, but when I try installing it, the pin doesn't want to go in straight. Any tricks for lineup? Thanks for the response.

Piston Pin Installation
For installation, push the pin in using the deep-well socket. Place the piston pin in the freezer for about an hour before and this will cause enough contraction of the pin to slide right in.
