WTB Muffler for 76 Model 400
I need a new or used muffler for my 1976 Model 400 snowmobile. The sled was manufactured 6/75, model J400E, Serial Number 56447M, and has the 340 CCW Kioritz reed valve motor with electric start. When checking on the JD website, I found 2 P/N, so I am not sure which one is correct. The pipe that connects to the exhaust manifold is a sharp 90 degrees, and the pipe which exits into the pan comes back underneath the muffler. I noticed there are 2 exit holes in the pan, one at the clutch side, the other at the mag side, maybe one can use either hole depending on the muffler used? Unfortunately I was unable to attend last weekends A1 show, as I forgot to renew my passport which ran out last summer being from Canada. Thanks Matt for hooking me up again.
