trailfire starter problem

Post by mcmullenx4 »

Im trying to get the starter to work on my 79 trailfire 440, I already replaced the ignition switch and the battery (390 cca) when i turn the key the starter engages but it is slow and hesitant to turn the moter over, I dont think the solenoid is closing all the way when i turn the key. any sugestions? and where can i find a good deal on a replacement rear shock? the old owner weighed about 320, but the sled only has 800 miles on it thanks Jeremy

I already did that, I removed and cleaned all the conections with a small wire brush.

Got an autozone near by? Or a means to test the starter on a bench?
