Mid motor clutches

Post by S_Kyle »

Are the dimensions of the Salsbury and Comet secondaries the same? And do they interchange with each other?

I have a junked Salsbury on a non Deere sled and I really don't want to have to move the motor again to make the belt work.

I would say no. They are close, but different. The reason I say that; is the JD clutch alignment tool has a Salsbury side, and a Comet side.

Brain, thanks for the information. I hope I can steal a sals off a parts sled I have stashed at the farm.
