no gauge lights

Post by Viktory2k1 »

Just wondering. How do you replace speedo and tach light bulb on this thing?
I looked, pulled on the socket, and tried to turn it. Do you actually have to disassemble the gauges for this?

Also, speedo doesn't work, just spins around and miles rack up. How do I disassemble it to repair it?

The bulb should just pull out, but it may not come out easy from sitting for years and years.

NOS, and used speedo's can be found on Ebay pretty reasonable, or you may find one on here by posting a want ad in the classifieds. They sell for $10-30 on ebay, assuming you have the 80 mph one. The 100 mph are a little harder to find.
