Hey Guys,

Please note that this is Joe Lesniak's sled, he and Matt co-founded "Joe and Matts JD sleds page."

Just so you don't confuse me, Joe Rainville, the Tech-Editor, with Joe Lesniak is all. When Lesniak was more active on the page, I often sighed as "the other Joe"

Hey Kevin,

It's no big deal, I just got a note at home asking me about the Polar Bear. Just in case there was any confusion, I wanted to clear up that it was Lesniak's sled. Looks like that thing is going to bring in some good bids for him too.

Later,
-Rainville

Where was this sled produced? I don't think I've ever heard the name before. Don
PS: in the early 70's I was a Scorpion (Trail-a-Sled) dealer. At the time there was no less than 132 manufacturers, or nameplates, of sleds. A guy told me that by the mid to late 70's there would be six. I was always glad that I never bet him.

Don, the Polar Bear was built in Wallingford, CT, which is Joe L's home town. It was one of those operations that started in a guy's basement and eventually moved to a small warehouse. Not many units built.
