Parting Out: 1982 Trailfire (Prices Reduced)

Post by ecardinal »

Parting out my 1982 John Deere Trailfire 340. The sled runs really well and drove great up until about a week ago when the driveshaft bearings failed. I’m not sticking any more money into this sled so it’s time to part it out. I’d prefer local pickup on all larger items unless you’re willing to pay for shipping. Prices do not include shipping. Please send PM or email me at cardinales15xxx@gmail.com (please remove the xxx before sending email).

I might be interested in the glove box door. Any close up pictures of it? Thanks Bill

Your ad says "340cc Engine (electric start) - $250". Do you mean the engine is equipped for e-start because I don't see the battery tray etc in the pictures.

Correct. The engine has the starter motor attached, but the battery/relays/wiring is long gone.

Sorry, I am going to sell the engine complete. Removing the starter would leave a hole in the side of the engine which might look bad to folks interested in the engine.

Can someone tell me if the 102C he has on this 340 is the same as or will fit an 80 liquifire? I would like to find a bolt-n-go 102C for my sled.

How about the gas tank, is it an exact match for my leaking one?

Correct clutch, but the weights/springs are probably all wrong.

Ok, kinda what I figured but I wasn't completly sure with his being a 340 and my Liquifire a 440. Can anyone tell me what the spring color and weights should be on a 80 Liquifire, I think Eric said the one for sale has Silver spring and he wasn't sure on weights.

Also is a Trailfire gas tank the same P/N as the Liquifire, would it fit?

sledz The 80 lf should have B-1 weights and a purple, silver,or green, etc red high altitude and a gold spring was optional ! :usa:
