Well done Jeremy on getting a solid 6th place. Dave (Horntwister) scored 12th on an Invader, even after crashing hard enough to fold up the bulkheat by the PTO motor mount. Wade hung in there like a champ, and Brian Hitt finished again too. I think a few other Liquifire's finished also, need to look over the results.
Unfortunately we lost Doug Oster around mile 35 with what seems to be carb issues, and Chris Reves Liquifire also died before the first fuel stop. I almost quit after I nailed a rock around mile 6, as I did a pretty nice cartwheel as the sled few about 10 feet off the trail. I was trying to keep a Polaris off my tail, and was going about 60 when I found myself air born away from the sled. Stil need to inspect the damage, as she would not turn left after that, but did restart. Remembering that Don bet on mile 8, I was determinted to keep going to the first fuel stop.
It started loosing power around mile 10, but I pushed it as far as I could go. I was only able to make it about 45 or so miles before my sled stopped pumping any fuel to the carbs.
But there was lots to learn from this year. The suspension and shock package worked great, the sled handled well too. Aside from the dents and fuel issues, I need to really work on clutch calibration as my top end was lower than stock. I also want to thank our volunteer crew: Todd Schrupp, Dustin Elder and Dustion Erickson. We could not have done it without these guys!
