Quick Morning Ride

Post by nothingbutadeere »

I know that a lot of people benefit from this site and I am one of them. Having lived in a Deere family all my life and a father who took good care of his fleet, I wouldn't know what else to ride. My father bought this sled from the dealer (M&N Marine in northern Minnesota) in November of 1977. I inherited this sled when my parents moved to Florida - I guess there is no need for it down there when all you do is play shuffle board  . After having gone through the entire electrical system over the last couple of years on this beast and replacing all of the components, thanks to Harley Sportster, I'd have to say that it runs 100 times better than my 2002 Ski Doo.

I was able to get out this morning at the crack of dawn and really open up the Liquifire in deep snow and smooth trails befor what the weather man predicts is rain for this weekend. Like most of you I will take advantage of every opportunity I get to keep the Deere running in tip top shape and I can't think of a better way to do it. :sled:

M&N Marine was just outside of Mc Gregor Mn. I believe they are no longer in business. I have a sled from there as well. Does yours have a dealer sticker on it? I would be interested to see what it looks like if it does. I am in Duluth Mn. Where are you? Nice sled!!!

Tasky, unfortunately it doesn't have a dealer sticker on it. My father was very particular about dealer stickers even on his vehicles. He would always ask that they not be put on or if they were he took them off. I am in Albertville now and have been a city boy all my life, but when i was growing up we would visit friends at their cabin on Big Sandy Lake and would pass M&N on the way. I believe they did shut down the doors in the early eighties.
