Re: Cyclone Holding it's Own Racing in Michigan
Congratulations Greg on a very successful season in BEVRA . http://www.bevraracing.com/ I have been watching race results all season. #95 scored first in one Masters 50+ race, and a first in a Stock Fan B race, as well as another win and top three finishes.
It has been said that racing is 50% machine and 90% driver.
I think a Cyclone is a good choice for a racer for its handling advantages. It’s very impressive to show so very well against Twisters , 9 and 11 port Yamahas and other factory built racers. A great build to obtain top speeds. Congratulations. - Mark
p.s. Maybe share a few top-secret speed dos and don’ts, eh?

I seemed to have been a much better driver when my sled was slower.

Thanks for the encouraging words Mark! It was a lot of fun (and frustration) getting this sled on the track. I was chasing it every race to get it setup properly. The sled gave Deere fans something to cheer about!
It also made some folks aware that a Deere can be competitive. As far as speed secrets go BEVRA allows internal mods i.e porting but must run stock for the brand pipe and a rubber track. So it has a Polaris Indy track.
Proud To Run a Deere!!!

Very Cool!
Old sleds are hours of entertainment.... then you get to ride them for a little bit.

Update:
Took the points championship for stock B fan class. Actually was a tie but I got the tie-breaker based on BEVRA rules. Also took 5th in the overall points for all classes. This got me a top 5 overall jacket...We will try and improve upon that next year! I'm taking any speed secret tips! Go Green!
